A Bit About My Practices
I am a Deaf visual artist based in Southampton, Hampshire. My practice is rooted in intuition and emotion, resulting in expressive and colourful abstract acrylic paintings on canvas.
My work is inspired by the natural world — from plants, flowers, and meadows to landscapes and skyscapes — as well as my own inner experiences. I often incorporate elements of Chakra colours, drawn from my yoga practice, to explore the energetic connection between colour, emotion, and healing.
Through an organic and experimental process, I explore a range of techniques including fluid art, acrylic pouring, splashing, and dot-based "blob" painting. I approach painting as a meditative, therapeutic practice — one that is playful, calming, and deeply personal.
Art is a vital part of my mindfulness journey and mental health healing. Working with colour in a contemplative way allows me to express and release emotions beyond words, offering a space of creative freedom and connection.
